dc.description.abstractThis study investigates the influence of background music on academic performance of 11th-grade students at NIS Karaganda. Using a quantitative survey, it was found that most students listen to music while studying and reported a positive effect on focus and motivation. Although lo-fi and classical music were the most efficient in enhancing the concentration level, music with lyrics tended to disturb attention. The finding suggests that background music can serve as a useful tool for improving study efficiency and creating a supportive learning environment.
